Presaturated wipes can offer many benefits over bottled alcohol and dry wipes for cleanroom use. Contec first introduced presaturated wipes into cleanrooms in 1992 to reduce VOC’s and increase convenience. Contec’s Sterile SATWIPES Theta with 70% denatured ethanol consist of a perforated roll of presaturated wipes which are dispensed through a convenient centre pull canister. The wipes are made of 55% cellulose and 45% polyester creating a highly sorbent and durable wipe. The presaturated wipes eliminate the need for trigger spray bottles, increasing convenience and reducing VOC’s in the air. SATWIPES Sterile Theta wipes are ideal when larger numbers of wipes are needed such as during transfer disinfection. The wipes are presaturated with 70% denatured ethanol blended with purified water, double bagged and gamma irradiated at no less than 25 kGy.
